Lunch at Yaxham Mill.
Today we were invited to lunch at Yaxham Mill as a belated Birthday Gift by Pat Watts and her daughter Tracey, also as a gratification of our help given to her after losing her husband Chris. We arrived at Pat’s home at 12.30 pm and after a little chat we travelled to Yaxham Mill for lunch at !.00pm. We were pleasantly surprised, it was a super venue, and the meal was excellent. There was a lovely selection on the menu, A choice of roast dinners, beef, pork, lamb or turkey, fish dishes, also vegetarian, as Tracey is a veggie. A nice choice for starters, six to choose from, also at least a dozen choices on the sweet menu. Tracey and I had starters, three of us had roasts while Tracey had a veggie meal followed by a sweet. All were superb, good portions and it was the hottest we have had a meal in any restaurant. WE WILL CERTAINLY REVISIT !
Before returning to Pat’s we visited Mattishall Church to see Chris’s resting place as his plaque had just been laid. It was on a black marble stone with gold inscription on it, Beryl placed three red roses , it was a really peaceful setting, I took some photo,s before we returned to Pat’s for a cuppa. We stayed a while and retuned for home around 4.15 pm.
