We Go On Holiday to Derbyshire.
Today we left to enjoy a holiday in Derbyshire. After a sad goodbye to our dogs Harry and Robbie, in kennels for a week, we left Swaffham at 10.45am for Hay-Ho cottage in Ashover. We stopped for lunch around half distance arriving at our destination at 4.00pm when our cottage was available. We were met by the owner of the cottage Susan Howe, who showed us round, before unpacking. It was a very nice cottage, plenty of room, lounge, dining, kitchen + dishwasher, bathroom with shower, and two bedrooms, but most of all superb views over the Derbyshire Dales. After unpacking we had an evening meal in the ‘Old Poet’s Inn’ in Ashover, a chicken dish cooked in red wine, very tasty, before returning back to the cottage for the rest of the evening to plan our day out for Sunday.
