World Cup 2nd Semi-final. France 1-0 Portugal.
The second semi-final was played on Wednesday between France and Portugal. It was a dull drab affair in my opinion and if it hadn’t been for a penalty in the first half which Zinadene Zidane converted they both could have played all night and not scored. Portugal played their usual game of Dive-Dive Dive, mainly by Ronaldo, but thankfully they did not benifit from this tactic. Hopefully when they play Germany in the play-off for third place the will be the losers.
Saturday sees the game for 3rd place with the Final on Sunday. Hopefully a German win Saturday and if Italy play as they did in their semifinal, they should beat the old boys of France. But who knows, it’s all down to who plays the best on the day.
