England Pogress to the Last Eight.
England progressed to the last eight by beating Ecuador 1-0 thanks to a David Beckham free kick in the second half. It was a boring game with little excitement, but at least it was a win! It was a new shape England team with Wayne Rooney as sole striker in the absence of Michael Owen, and it seems this is going to be the shape to be played for the next game against Portugal on Saturday. I think England have a good chance to reach the semi-finals and then its ‘game on’ to reach the Final, or are we just dreaming.
