Update on Beryl.

Beryl has had two trips to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at Kings Lynn this week.  The first on Monday the 26th was for an ECG and other tests for her heart, and also for a monitor to be fitted for 24 hours to check what her heart does over that period.  The second visit was [...]

England Pogress to the Last Eight.

England progressed to the last eight by beating Ecuador 1-0 thanks to a David Beckham free kick in the second half.  It was a boring game with little excitement, but at least it was a win!  It was a new shape England team with Wayne Rooney as sole striker in the absence of Michael Owen, [...]

England Qualify for the last Sixteen!

England played their last game against Sweden to gain qualification to the last sixteen with a 2-2 draw.  Far from qualifying in style they struggled,  mainly in defence, set pieces, corners and freekicks being a nightmare. They took the lead with a spectacular goal from Joe Cole in the first half.  The second half they [...]

Update on Chris.

The amount of money collected by Tracey, Chris’s daughter, for MND totalled £5566.02 which was a fantastic amount. WELL DONE TRACEY !
We saw Chris Sat 17/6/06 when they came to visit us,  and he is still keeping very cheerful but he has to rely more and more on a wheelchair to go out.  His walking [...]

Fathers Day.

Today we visited James & Jennie, plus the grandchildren, Amie (who has chicken pox) and Bethany. (a few spots but not confirmed as chicken pox ) for Fathers Day. We were to have enjoyed a Bar-B-Q with them and Jennies Mum and Dad, Lynn and Chris, but as Beryl is still feeling a [...]

2nd Win For England.

England got their 2nd win by beating Trinidad & Tobago 2-0.  It wasn’t a thrilling display by our team but late goals from Peter Crouch & Steven Gerard ensured that England are top of their group with the final game against Sweden to be played on Tuesday at 8.00 pm.  Come on England let’s see [...]

A Bar-B-Q with James & Jennie.

We were invited to lunch with James & Jennie, and of course Amie & Bethany, we arrived at 12-30pm and James said they would do a Bar-B-Q lunch. Burgers, Sausages, rolls and salad etc. and a nice cool beer. All very nice and most enjoyable, James seems to have got the hang of cooking [...]

England start with a WIN!

England started their World Cup campaign with a 1-0 win against Paraquay. By all accounts it wasn’t a pretty game but at least it was a win which put 3 points on the board. Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago played out a 0-0 draw so it leaves England top of the group. [...]

World Cup 2006. Engerland- Engerland !

Today sees the start of the World Cup and as expected Germany beat Costa Rica 4-2 much to the delight of the German fans. It was an entertaining game, the Germans seem to be good on attacking but seem weaker in defence. My guess is that they will still be in the [...]

Update on Beryl.

Beryl is feeling much better as I write this post, she is still feeling weak, cannot do to much, but is managing a few little chores like peeling the potatoes, hanging out light articles of clothing, and has even done a little ironing. As long as she doesn’t try to do to much she will [...]
