An Update on Chris.
Things have changed quite dramatically for Chris since we first met him & Pat on holiday in Majorca. Chris told me the only thing he can do for himself is breathe, he needs help to do everything else. He has lost the use of his arms & hands, his neck muscles have gone & he can no longer hold his head up. His tongue muscles are going & his speech is getting more difficult, his words are more slurred. His leg muscles are going fast & walking is very difficult. It is hard to imagine life like this, but he has to go on. Having said this his mind & memmories are still with him, & he still enjoys watching & talking about football. Everyone is doing their best to help him during these difficult times.
Some positive new, Chris has now been provided with a wheelchair, also an electric armchair to help him as it has been difficult to get up from a chair once he sits down.
REMEMBER 3 PEOPLE A DAY DIE OF MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE A DAY!
