The Money keeps rolling in!
We have had another great week as the money keeps rolling in! We are now approaching £1800.00 with still 5 weeks to go before the Marathon. It’s just fantastic to think people can be so generous! The biggest donation received in the shop was £10.00. It was given by a young lady whose Grandfather died of the disease. She was so pleased to hear of our efforts. Pat received a donation for £100.00, which is really great.
Pat has updated us on Chris, & sad to say the disease is beginning to affect his walking. He has decided not to go to see the football at Ipswich anymore as he is finding it difficult to walk up steps, & will not be renewing his season ticket for next season. This was a big blow for Chris as he loves his football. Life for him it seems is getting to be more difficult as the disease progresses.
Both Beryl & I feel the pain that Chris & Pat must be going through, we wish we could do more. It is therefore imperitive that we maintain our efforts on our fundraising!
News on Tracey who is training for the Marathon. She has now run 20 miles in 3hrs -20 mins & is hoping that she will be able to complete the Marathon in under 4 hrs.
REMEMBER 3 PEOPLE A DAY DIE OF MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE OF WHICH THERE IS NO CURE!
